Improved image sensor and image-processing in ICs has accelerated the development of high quality, high sensitivity surveillance video. This improved performance has put more demands on surveillance camera lenses. New lenses have to deliver enhanced resolution performance and descriptive performance without color smear. At Tamron, we took a new approach to achieve maximum performance from these new cameras, and thus have developed two next-generation Vari-Focal lenses.
