Tamron announces the development and release of a mini-dome camera designed for indoor use with built-in high-quality vari-focal lens (Model DC28105P-24)

Development Background

With the expansion of the integrated camera market, demand for mini-dome cameras which boast superior cost performance has been particularly strong. Following its DCV12 series of high-quality mini-dome cameras introduced in fiscal 2007, Tamron has now developed the DC28105P-24, a mini-dome camera with a built-in high-quality vari-focal lens intended for indoor use.　The new product leverages Tamron's high-quality imaging technology to achieve high-precision monitoring.
Tamron will continue to pursue ever higher image quality, and is committed to delivering the image quality expected of an innovative lens manufacturer known for integrated development and design.

Main Features

• 1. Integrated high-quality design from lens to camera
  ・Uses an aspherical lens for optical design supporting high resolution.
  ・Covers a wide angle of view of 2.8-10.15mm to achieve a horizontal angle of view at the widest angle of about 100 degrees.
  ・Boasts large aperture F/1.2 brightness, the highest in its class.
  ・Reduces ghost flare with multi-coating.
  ・Employs a 1/3" CCD to achieve a horizontal resolution of 540 TV lines.
  ・Minimizes degradation of image quality after cover installation by design that takes dome cover characteristics into consideration.
• 2. Improved operability
  ・Includes a pan and tilt adjustment with a lock mechanism to protect against drift due to vibration, etc. after the angle of view has been set.
  ・Has a grip installed for easier pan adjustment, greatly improving ease of use during installation.
  ・Offers one-touch installation for the dome cover.
• 3. Other special characteristics
  ・Blends in optimally for indoor installation in locations such as offices or stores thanks to a simple design.
  ・Has installation components compatible with most standard electrical boxes.
