This versatile telephoto lens (equivalent to 310mm in 35mm format) is ideal for portraits, sports, landscapes, and even closeups that rival macro lenses with a minimum focus distance of 0.95m with a ratio of 1:3.5.

Its optical design is optimized for digital SLR cameras with LD (low dispersion) lens elements to compensate for axial and magnification chromatic aberrations. Internal surface coatings (multiple-layer coatings on the lens' cemented surfaces) prevent ghosting and flare as well as enhance peripheral illumination.
