The Hirosaki Plant has the assembly and production technology for all Tamron products, such as photographic lenses, medium format cameras and various digital optical products. It also functions as the mother plant to provide support for mass production by Tamron's overseas plants. The Hirosaki Plant is an advanced plant as befits Tamron's aim to be a creative optical maker of the 21st century. The plant strengthens the quality control system by acquiring ISO9001 and ISO14001, flexible production lines capable of producing many products in small quantities, the latest energy-saving equipment, fulfilling a vital role as the nucleus of Tamron's production capabilities and providing Japanese technicians for overseas technical support. |

Engineering plastics that comprise almost all of the precision parts that are crucial to optical products are made at this molding plant. Working in unison with the Die Division at Head Office, this plant maintains the latest in high specification molding machines and measuring devices to produce extremely difficult ultra precision parts of superb quality under conditions of the strictest quality control and equipment control. The plant has acquired ISO14001 in November 2003 and ISO9001 in January 2004 by being integrated into the Hirosaki Plant. |

The Namioka Plant manufactures the optical lenses which are the basis of our products. The plant uses leading technology developed by Tamron such as high precision polishing technology and deposition technology, hybrid hemispherical lenses, glass molded hemispherical lenses and ultra small diameter lens polishing technology. Not only does the plant produce photographic products such as lenses (test plates) for factory automation applications that require high precision, and high precision prism machining technology and diversified optical measurement technology, it also produces high specification lenses for digital optical systems and IT-related optical systems. The plant acquired ISO14001 in November 2003 and ISO9001 in January 2004 by being integrated into the Hirosaki Plant. |

The Foshan Plant in Guangdong Province in China performs functions fromplastic molding to lens polishing and assembly production. Severe control standards for cost, delivery and quality are applied. The plant acquires ISO9001 and ISO14001. Its quality controls are actively pursued and a strict quality control system is implemented, so that local Japanese makers that supply OEM equipment are loyal customers of the Foshan Plant.
