
Joe Farace
Joe Farace's interest in photography and digital imaging combines an engineering education from Johns Hopkins University with fine art photography training at the Maryland Institute of Art in Baltimore. He is the author of more than twenty books on photography, digital imaging and computing, including a trilogy of digital imaging books for Allworth Press including "The Digital Imaging Dictionary," The Photographer's Internet Handbook," and Re-Engineering the Photo Studio." Joe was technical editor of Rick Sammon’s Complete Guide to Digital Photography and co-author of books on traditional photography including "Better Available Light Photography" with Barry Staver and “The Magic Lantern Guide to the Canon Elan 7" with Artur Landt. Joe is one of the contributors to “The Advanced Digital Photographers Workbook and he is currently working on two new books for 2005, one on Camera RAW format and the other on Digital Infrared Photography. Joe has published more than 1500 magazine articles about photography, digital imaging, and computing magazines and has been a regular contributor to Shutterbug magazine since 1994, which publishes his monthly "Digital Innovations" and Web Profiles columns. He was the founding editor of eDigitalPhoto magazine and his column “Digital Diary” appears in PHOTOgraphic.
