Where do I get a pin?

For the next several months, more than 50 Tamron spotters located throughout the U.S. will be looking for people using their Tamron lens at all sorts of places: the zoo, your local coffee house, the airport, sporting events, theme parks, national monuments, school plays and so many more locations. If you are spotted, he/she will give you a pin right there! Pins will also be given out while supplies last at trade shows where we exhibit, events at local Tamron authorized retailers, at Tamron Road Series 09 events, and more. See our events page for a list of dates and places and check back frequently as new events are listed all of the time. If you can't make an event or haven't been spotted, see the rules below on how to get a pin while supplies last, or a personal pin number even if we've run out of them.

Personal Pin Number can be found on the back of your Tamron USA Lapel Pin.

Entries
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. To enter, register your Personal Pin Number by emailing webmaster@tamron.com. Subject: Pin registration. Include in the email your name, mailing address, daytime phone number, age, lapel pin number, who gave you the lapel pin, and the Tamron lens you own or are thinking about owning. Alternatively, you may call 1-800-827-8880 x400 to register your pin. If you do not have a pin, you may email Tamron at webmaster@tamron.com by 11:59 p.m. Eastern time on December 31, 2009 to request a pin. State in the Subject: Request for Pin and include all of the above information as well as a valid email address. You will receive a pin within 4-6 weeks while supplies last. The pin will require registration by you upon receipt. If there are no pins available, Tamron will email you a pre-registered Personal Pin Number. Limit one entry during the Pin Promotion period of March 1, 2009 through December 31, 2009 per person/email address/mailing address and entries in excess of this limit will be void. Any given pin number may be registered only once; no duplicate pin number registrations will be accepted. All entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. Eastern time on December 31, 2009. The Sponsor is not responsible for late, lost, incomplete, illegible, misdirected, or misrouted entries. Use of automated devices is prohibited.

Eligibility
Pin Promotion is open to all U.S. Citizens that are legal residents of the United States, except Puerto Rico and other U.S. territories. Employees of Tamron USA, Inc. and its affiliates, representatives, subsidiaries, advertising, and production agencies, and their immediate families and household members are not eligible. Employees, families and household members of Tamron Authorized Dealers and imaging industry manufacturers, service providers and retailers are not eligible. Must be 18 years of age or older to enter as of promotion start date. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited or restricted. By entering this Pin Promotion, participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and/or its agents. Prizes
One winner will be randomly drawn the first business day of each month beginning April 2009 and ending January 2010 from all eligible entries (pin registrations) received. The monthly winner will receive a $100 Gift Card to the Tamron Authorized Dealer of choice. One Grand Prize Winner, randomly selected on the first business day of January 2010 from the total valid pin registrants, will win a Tamron AF18-270 VC lens, model B003 in the winner’s choice of Canon™ or Nikon™ mount (value $629). Winners are responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes associated with acceptance and use of prize. Prize is not transferable. No substitution of prizes permitted.

Drawing and prize redemption
Monthly winners will be selected in a random drawing the first business day of each month beginning April 2009 and ending January 2010 from the aggregate of all eligible entries received to date. One Grand Prize Winner will be selected in a random drawing the first business day of January 2010 from the aggregate of all eligible entries received from the start of the promotion. Awarding of prizes will be conducted by Tamron USA, Inc., whose decisions are final on all matters relating to the promotion. Tamron USA, Inc. will notify the Winners via email. If any Winner cannot be contacted or any Winner fails to respond by email within 72 hours of notification so that a valid mailing address can be confirmed, an alternate Winner will be selected from the remaining eligible entries. Any prize notification or prize returned as undeliverable will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate Winner.

Liability
Prize acceptance constitutes permission (except where prohibited) to use Winner’s name and likeness for publicity purposes without compensation. Sponsor and its promotional and advertising agencies, and all respective officers, directors, employees, representatives, and agents of each, shall have no liability and shall be held harmless by Winners for any damage, loss, or liability to persons or property, due in whole or part, directly or indirectly, by reason of the acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of prize or participation in this promotion. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend part or all of this promotion should virus, bugs, unauthorized human intervention, or other causes beyond the control of Sponsor corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness, or proper play of the promotion. Sponsor and its promotion and advertising agencies, and all respective officers, directors, employees, representatives, and agents of each, are not responsible for technical, hardware, software, or telephone failures of any kind, lost, interrupted, or unavailable network connections, fraud, incomplete, garbled, or delayed computer transmissions, whether caused by the Sponsor, users, or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the promotion or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of submissions which may damage a user's system or limit a participant's ability to participate in the promotion. Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual Sponsor reasonably believes to have tampered with the entry process or with the operation of the promotion, or who is found to be acting in violation of these Official Rules. This Pin Promotion is intended and limited for play in the United States and shall only be construed and evaluated according to United States law.
