TAMRON ANNOUNCES NATURE AND LANDSCAPE WEEKEND WORKSHOPS IN SIX CITIES ACROSS THE USA

Award-winning photographer Don Gale to lead the series of exciting on
location workshops and seminars

Commack, NY, April 8, 2005- Tamron USA, Inc. announced a series of Don Gale workshops in conjunction with select photo retailers across the country. Don Gale is an award-winning photographer who has earned national recognition for his work. Six workshops are now scheduled in addition to the Photography Workshop Cruise announced last month.

For over ten years, Don has conducted his photographic workshops, seminars and classes at some of the most beautiful locations in the world. Using digital technology in the field, workshop attendees will see before and after shots using Don's tips and tricks. "Don is one of the most approachable and talented pros I have worked with. His workshops are always fun and inspirational and we get tremendous positive feedback from his workshop attendees," stated Stacie Errera, Chief Marketing Officer for Tamron.

Brian Struble, who was on the Don Gale walking tour that took place during Photo East in New York last October, e-mailed Tamron after the event. "Thanks for leading all of us on an inspiring and informative Photo Walking Tour in New York City. I didn't get a chance to thank you in person for the opportunity to learn while watching you (Don) and the other (tech rep) photographers at work. Anyway, thanks again for sharing your time and your knowledge with me during the tour! I really enjoyed it!" Struble's comments are echoed by many of Don's workshop attendees.

Terry Shuchat, owner of Keeble and Shuchat, is excited about hosting a camping workshop for his customers. "Workshops give us the opportunity to work in the field with our customers and the equipment we sell," stated Shuchat. "Our customers have a much better appreciation of the capabilities of the products we sell when they use them and see for themselves that they perform to their expectations. Another advantage of our workshops is that we have the opportunity to work one on one with our customers and that experience totally separates us from mail order and big box stores."

Each of the Tamron-sponsored workshops is very similar in schedule and style, yet the field trips take place in a variety of outdoor settings. For example, the northern California workshop will take place at Point Lobos State Park and all attendees will camp for the weekend. The workshop in New York City will cover urban landscapes, while take place in zoo-like settings, arboretums and botanical gardens. Every workshop includes raffles, prizes, portfolio reviews, field instruction, classroom seminars, refreshments and much more.
