TAMRON PROMOTES EUGENE DYAS TO SENIOR MANAGER OF INDUSTRIAL OPTICS DIVISION

October 1, 2003, Commack, New York: Tamron USA, Inc. announced the promotion of Eugene Dyas to the newly created position of Senior Manager - Industrial Optics Division.

Dyas joined Tamron in 1997 as Customer Support Specialist-Industrial Optics Division. Prior to joining Tamron, he held several customer support and technical positions since 1986 at Ikegami USA, Inc. In January 2002, Dyas was promoted to Logistics Manager and handled day to day operations for the division. In his new role, Dyas will oversee sales performance, marketing efforts and division planning for the industrial optics group.

"Innovative product introductions and aggressive marketing have resulted in unprecedented sales growth over the past few years in the Tamron Industrial Optics Division. Eugene has been instrumental in the success of the division by providing professional and dedicated assistance to department staff, sales representatives and customers," stated Michael J. Traina, VP-Operations & Human Resources.

Tamron USA, Inc. is the subsidiary of the Japanese Tamron Co., Ltd., manufacturer of high quality optics for CCTV and film and digital SLR (single-lens-reflex) cameras, and manufacturer of Bronica professional camera/lens system.
