3. Purpose of Obtaining and Processing of Personal Data

We collect and process customer’s personal data for the following purposes.

In addition, to provide our firmware update service for TAMRON's product “TAP-in Utility”, the customer's Global IP address will be sent to the server that provides the service for technical requirements to establish communication and we collect this, and we will process this IP address to prevent unauthorized copying of our firmware.
Unless required by law, we will retain customer’s personal data for a necessary period to achieve the purpose of collection, and will delete customer’s personal data in accordance with the applicable law if it is no longer needed for the purpose of collection.

4. Display of the website and the creation of log files

Each time our website is loaded, our system automatically collect data and information from the computer system of the computer loading the site. The following data are collected in this process: Scope of data processing

  • Information about which browser and version is being used
  • The operating system of the device loading the site
  • The device's IP address
  • Date and time of access
  • Websites and resources (images, files, other site content) that is loaded on our website
  • Websites from which the user's system gets to our website (referrer tracking)

This information is saved in our system's log file. None of these data are stored alongside the personal data of a specific user, meaning that the identification of a specific visitor to the website cannot be carried out.

We use cookies on our website for the purpose of improving the usability of the website for customers and for analyzing to improve our products and services.

We process customer’s personal data if it applies to one of the followings.

  • When customer agrees that we collect and processe his/her personal data for the purpose indicated by us.
  • When processing is necessary for fulfillment of the contract for which the customer is the party.
  • When we need processing to comply with legal obligations.

7. Personal Data Sharing

We may share customer’s personal data collected with subsidiaries of us for the purpose of responding to inquiries from customers. In this case, the personal data of customers in the European Economic Area (EEA) will be disclosed only to subsidiaries in the EEA and not to subsidiaries outside of the EEA.

8. Outsourcing

We may entrust a part of the processing of customer’s personal data to outsourcing contractor entered into agreement. In this case, We will thoroughly examine eligibility as a partner for outsourcing, and will bind it to the necessary matters for proper processing of personal data such as safety control measures, confidentiality preservation, and prohibition of re-entrustment.

9. Customer's Rights

The customers located in EU have the right to request the followings for their personal data provided to us. To execute, please contact the following.

  • Right to appeal our processing of client’s personal data
  • Withdrawing consent to data processing at any time

10. Results that Can Occur If Customer Does Not Provide Personal Data

We may not be able to provide all or part of the services to the customer who does not agree to provide his/her personal data to us.
