Occupational Safety and Health Management System

Important matters and targets determined by the CSR Committee are managed by each CSR administrative division. Under the CSR theme of Occupational safety and health, which includes health and productivity management, TAMRON has established a Occupational Safety and Health Committee based on its Occupational Safety and Health Regulations, and conduct activities to prevent occupational accidents including the implementation of safety and health patrols. We are analyzing the causes and changing equipment and work procedures. For commuting accidents, we hold traffic safety training to prevent recurrence.
Regarding mental health issues, periodic mental health checks are conducted twice a year, with information on the situation at each site provided as feedback to facilitate improvements. Furthermore, the results are reported to the board of directors, and the board of directors instructs each department to make improvements if necessary.

Promotion of Occupational Health and Safety in Collaboration with the Industrial Physician

Tamron has established a Safety and Health Committee in accordance with its internal Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, aiming to create a safe and comfortable working environment. The committee works to prevent occupational accidents and ensure workplace safety by reviewing inspection reports from health and safety officers and incorporating evaluations and feedback from the industrial physician.
Additionally, Tamron offers monthly health consultation sessions with the industrial physician. Any employee can make a reservation in advance to consult directly with the doctor about health checkup results or other health concerns. By working closely with the industrial physician, Tamron takes an organizational approach to ensuring occupational health and safety and to improve employees' overall well-being.

Management Training

Tamron considers the mental and physical well-being of employees one of the most important factors in enhancing corporate value. Accordingly, all forms of workplace harassment that undermine employee health and productivity will not be tolerated. We proactively work to prevent such issues before they arise. As part of management training, managers learn communication skills to avoid engaging in harassment themselves and how to respond appropriately when harassment is suspected or identified.

Emergency First Aid Training

Tamron operates various types of equipment at its facilities on a continuous basis. While we strive to prevent accidents, we also prepare for emergencies. As part of these efforts, the Safety and Health Committee conducts annual emergency first aid training sessions led by employees certified as First Aid Instructors (nine employees participated in 2024). The training includes key points for requesting an ambulance, as well as hands-on training in the use of AEDs to ensure employees are ready to respond effectively in emergency situations.
